By submitting the application, each candidate agrees that, if selected, they will cover the registration fee (US$50) and the travel expenses required to reach Montevideo. Candidates must also be prepared to present their research work in one of the school’s official languages: Spanish, Portuguese, or English.
The application form must include the candidate’s personal and academic information, as well as the details of an academic reference who supports the application. In addition, candidates must upload a three-page PDF containing: (i) a brief curriculum vitae; (ii) a letter of support signed by the academic reference; and (iii) the title and an abstract of the research work to be presented at the school, with a maximum length of 250 words.
Candidates awarded a scholarship will be selected by a Scientific Committee composed of delegates from each national OR society that is a member of ALIO, in coordination with the Organizing Committee.
Once the selection process has been completed and the decisions have been communicated, selected candidates will be required to complete a registration form providing additional information and to pay the registration fee using the payment method indicated by the organizers.
